GREEN CHILI highlights

At Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin’s 6th Hot! Miyazaki Fair held from August 19 to 24, the collaboration beer GREEN CHILI from Michi-no-Eki Kushima and Nagi no Ne Brewing was featured. Priced at 1,200 yen per bottle, it is described as a beer that brings out the fresh aroma and strong heat of green chili peppers, while rounding things out with gentle malt sweetness and hop aroma.

Rather than leaning on heat alone, the beer is built with food pairing in mind. The event materials point to a good match with Miyazaki-style gyoza and spice-driven dishes, making it a natural fit for meal-time drinking. It should also work well with fried foods, grilled meat, and other dishes where a clean, peppery edge can refresh the palate.

A brewery from Kushima

Nagi no Ne Brewing is a craft brewery based in Kushima, Miyazaki. Established in 2025 as the city’s first craft brewery, it has been developing beers that reflect local ingredients and local character. GREEN CHILI follows that approach, connecting regional food culture with a beer designed for everyday pairing.

As a collaboration, GREEN CHILI is notable for translating Miyazaki’s spicy food culture into beer form. It keeps the profile approachable while still giving the green chili pepper a clear role, making it one to watch for drinkers who enjoy sharp flavors alongside hearty dishes.
