Naginone Brewing to Release KUSHIMA GRAPES Grosz Krone on October 4
Naginone Brewing in Kushima, Miyazaki, will release KUSHIMA GRAPES Grosz Krone, a food-friendly beer featuring soft malt character, fragrant black-grape notes, and a gentle wine-like astringency. Brewery sales begin October 4, followed by shipments to authorized retailers nationwide.
Naginone Brewing, based in Kushima City, Miyazaki, has announced its new beer, KUSHIMA GRAPES Grosz Krone.
The brewery introduced the beer through a tasting held over dinner, after the brewer was told by his wife that the evening’s meal would be hot pot. The post presents the beer as a drink intended to be enjoyed alongside food.
Its flavor profile combines a soft malt foundation with rich aromas derived from black grapes. A subtle, wine-like astringency adds a pleasant finish, while light carbonation keeps the beer easy-drinking. The brewery describes it as having the festive character of sparkling wine while remaining more approachable for a full glass.
Served cold, the beer is crisp and light. As its temperature gradually rises, the grape-derived aroma becomes more expressive. The brewery notes that it pairs naturally with hot-pot dishes and could also work well with fish-based meals.
KUSHIMA GRAPES Grosz Krone is expected to continue developing after bottling. From around three months after packaging, the black-grape character and malt may integrate further, offering a different expression over time.
Sales at the brewery will begin on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Shipments to authorized retailers across Japan will start sequentially on Monday, October 5. Online orders and reservations are available through the store link in Naginone Brewing’s Instagram profile.
