Novoru Brewing releases Asobe II with IBREW AKIHABARA
Novoru Brewing has unveiled Asobe II, a collaboration beer with IBREW AKIHABARA in Tokyo’s Akihabara district. The 5.5% release is a triple-dry-hopped hazy pale ale that revisits and upgrades the earlier Asobe recipe.
Novoru Brewing announced `Asobe II` on Instagram on June 30. The beer is a Triple Dryhopped Hazy Pale Ale at 5.5% ABV, brewed in collaboration with IBREW AKIHABARA in Tokyo’s Akihabara area. According to the brewery, it is a brushed-up version of `Asobe`, first released in a previous collaboration two years ago.
The hop bill is built in layers: Citra T90 and Citra Dynaboost in the whirlpool, then Nelson Sauvin, El Dorado, Citra, Motueka, and Mosaic HyperBoost added in three dry-hop stages. Novoru describes the profile as overlapping notes of white grape, ripe tropical fruit, and citrus, with a juicy texture and a soft drinking impression.
Based in Miyazaki City, Novoru Brewing was founded in 2022 and began full brewery operations in the Aoi district in January 2024. The brewery focuses on balanced beers that invite another sip, with IPA and pale ale at the core of its lineup. This collaboration continues that approach with a carefully built hop structure and a clear flavor direction.
