Nomcraft Brewing releases PICNIC SESSION with Hakuba Brewing
Nomcraft Brewing in Aridagawa, Wakayama has released a collaboration beer with Hakuba Brewing called PICNIC SESSION. The beer is presented as a light, dry, rice-based cold-style session IPA at 4.5% ABV.
Nomcraft Brewing operates from a renovated former nursery in Aridagawa Town, Wakayama, and has built its reputation on approachable beers that still leave room for experimentation.
The new release, `PICNIC SESSION`, is a collaboration with Hakuba Brewing. According to Nomcraft's post, the brew grew out of a meeting on the mountains last winter, when the team visited Hakuba Brewing and later worked with Dan on a summer-ready beer. Nomcraft describes it as a rice-based "Cold" style beer aimed at a light, dry finish. Hakuba Brewing describes the beer as a 4.5% ABV session IPA.
For Nomcraft, this fits a broader pattern: the brewery blends local roots in Aridagawa with international brewing backgrounds and frequent collaborations. This release is less about big spectacle than about a clear idea executed well, making it the kind of beer that speaks to drinkers who follow both the recipe and the story behind it.
