Far Yeast Brewing Genryu Brewery (Yamanashi) will hold the second publication celebration for president and CEO Shiro Yamada's new book, "Craft Beer Considered Through History: Beyond Craft," on Friday, March 20, 2026. The venue is the directly operated Far Yeast Tokyo (Gotanda), and advance registration is required. Capacity is limited to 16 people.
Far Yeast Brewing will hold a publication celebration event in response to the fact that the new book written by company representative Shiro Yamada, "Craft Beer Considered Through History: Beyond Craft (In Order to Depict a New Form of Beer)," has reached its third printing. According to the announcement, this will be the second event, held at the company's directly operated store, Far Yeast Tokyo (Gotanda).
In addition to craft beer commentary not overlapping with the main text of the book, the event is also scheduled to include discussion of "light publishing" from the publisher. The venue will offer 16 kinds of beer, along with the regular grand menu, plus limited-time menu items available only on the day. Beyond the talk session, the event is designed so attendees can also socialize while drinking beer.

The company launched its Genryu Brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, in 2017, and in 2020 also moved its headquarters there. It is a brewery that has continued brewing around the axis of the water of the Tama headwaters and co-creation with the local community. This publication celebration can be seen as a strong reflection of the company's stance, as it is a project that broadens the experience of beer beyond simply "drinking" to also include "learning."
