Sekimachi Cellar’s June: 8 Taps and 3rd Anniversary Project, Serving Far Yeast’s “Muscat White”
The beer pub Sekimachi Cellar in Tokyo’s Nerima ward has updated its June event guide. Centered on a stamp rally running from 6/6 to 6/28, the lineup includes the collaboration beer “Muscat White” with Far Yeast Brewing, Friday extended hours, brewery events, and a soccer viewing event.
Sekimachi Cellar in Sekimachi Higashi, Nerima Ward, Tokyo, has released its June event guide. The official website describes it as a shop with a ground-floor standing-drink counter and a second-floor terrace, handling a wide range of alcoholic drinks including craft beer, and this post brings together the month’s events.
The highlight is the stamp rally running from 6/6 to 6/28. Drink and shop to collect stamps, and you can receive limited-edition original collaboration cans, towels, and stickers. It is a scheme very much in line with Sekimachi Cellar, where you can have a drink in the shop and then continue shopping, making it something you can enjoy by moving back and forth between the standing-drink counter and the shop.
On the beer side, Far Yeast Brewing x Sekimachi Cellar’s “Muscat White” will be on tap. The post introduces it as a collaboration following last year’s “Peach White,” and encourages early orders because only 10 kegs are available. In addition, Asahi Beer’s TTO is scheduled to begin from Friday, 6/26, and tap count will rise to 9 from that day.
The event lineup is also packed. Every Friday will have extended hours, with Ruu Night on 6/5, koco TACOS on 6/12, Izakaya Fukuda on 6/19, and Akane Night on 6/26. On 6/12 there will be a GRANDLINE Brewing Half TTO, and on 6/13 there will also be a hands-on Far Yeast Brewing event. In addition, a reserved soccer World Cup viewing event is being announced, so June at Sekimachi Cellar looks set to be a month to enjoy not just beer, but food, sports, and the atmosphere of the place itself.
The shop, which is based on a liquor store with more than 100 years of history, is characterized by its location along Ome Kaido and its terrace seating. As the season moves toward summer, the standing-drink style of choosing a beer on the first floor and enjoying it on the second floor, combined with limited beers and events, makes this a lineup beer lovers won’t want to miss.
