Far Yeast Brewing releases limited Peach Haze with Yamanashi-grown Hakuhō peaches
Far Yeast Brewing began selling a limited release, Far Yeast Peach Haze, on August 27. The fruit-forward pale ale uses Hakuhō peaches from Yamanashi and combines local produce with haze-oriented yeast and hops.
Far Yeast Brewing, based in Kosuge, Yamanashi, has launched a limited beer made with Hakuhō peaches from Yamanashi City. The release is part of the brewery's "Brewed with YAMANASHI" initiative, which focuses on beers made with local agricultural ingredients.
The beer uses 300 kg of fresh peaches from Peache Sennka Yamashita, a local peach farm. Hakuhō is known for its juicy character, strong sweetness, and soft texture. The beer is a Fruited Hazy Pale Ale with 5.5% ABV and 10 IBU, brewed to highlight both fruit character and a smooth body.
To build the aroma, the brewery used the yeast strain Pomona, which is often seen in Hazy IPAs and brings citrus and tropical notes. Dry hopping with Idaho7 Cryo, Citra, and Nectaron adds another layer of tropical fruit and citrus character, supporting the natural peach aroma.
Far Yeast Peach Haze is sold only through the official online store and will not be distributed through general retail channels. It is available in 350 ml cans and 15 L kegs, brewed at Far Yeast Brewing's Genryu Brewery in Kosuge, Yamanashi.
