Far Yeast Brewing, based in Kosuge, Yamanashi, will begin selling its limited release 'Far Yeast Peach White' on August 19. The beer uses 250 kg of fresh peaches from Peach Senka Yamashita in Yamanashi City, alongside saison yeast, Citra hops, and local wheat.
Far Yeast Brewing is adding a peach-focused seasonal beer to its lineup from its Genryu Brewery in Kosuge, Yamanashi. The release date is August 19. The beer uses 250 kg of fresh Hikawa Hakuho peaches grown by Peach Senka Yamashita in Yamanashi City, making it a clearly local, limited-edition product.
The beer is built on a saison base, with expressive yeast-driven aromatics, the citrusy character of Citra hops, and the soft texture of locally grown Yumekaori wheat. It also undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and can, which gives it a fine, gentle carbonation. The listed specs are 5.0% ABV and 20 IBU, with packaging in 350 ml cans and 15 L kegs.
This release fits naturally into Far Yeast Brewing's long-running Brewed with YAMANASHI initiative, which highlights Yamanashi-grown ingredients and local agricultural resources. The brewery has used the project to promote the region through beers made with peaches, plums, grapes, and other produce.
Peach Senka Yamashita is described as a grower that uses soil-friendly, nature-oriented farming methods. That background makes 'Far Yeast Peach White' more than just a fruit beer: it is a seasonal expression of local fruit, regional brewing, and careful fermentation. Chilled and freshly poured, it should show both the peach aroma and the clean finish of a well-made saison-style beer.
