Yatsugatake Brewery in Hokuto, Yamanashi has started selling “ROCK 55th ANNIVERSARY LAGER,” a limited lager made to mark the 55th anniversary of Moeginomura ROCK. In an Instagram post, the brewery said the beer uses five malt varieties and five hop varieties, with 5.5% ABV and 55 IBU. It also noted that the beer took 55 days from brewing to completion, adding one more layer to the 55 theme.

The label comes in metallic red and carries the phrase “ROCK a 55(GO GO).” According to the post, the beer was unveiled in time for ROCK Day, and sales started both as draft beer in the restaurant and at ROCK STORE. That gives drinkers two ways to encounter the release: alongside a meal at ROCK, or as a bottle-style purchase at the store.

Yatsugatake Brewery was established in 1997 as an attached brewery at ROCK. It is known for brewing with Yatsugatake spring water and for a beer-making approach rooted in traditional German styles. For a landmark anniversary at ROCK, the brewery has turned that accumulated know-how into a commemorative lager that feels closely tied to the restaurant’s identity.

ROCK itself has long been a familiar destination for local diners and beer fans alike, where food and beer are meant to be enjoyed together. Rather than leaning on excess, this release marks the anniversary through precise brewing design and a clear, understated sense of occasion.
