Far Yeast Brewing Releases Limited Outdoor Pale Ale noon moon
Far Yeast Brewing has released Far Yeast noon moon, a limited beer brewed at its Genryu Brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi. The American Pale Ale combines a light body with layered hop aroma, and part of the release also appears under the BACK TO RIVER label, tied to river conservation efforts.
Far Yeast Brewing has released Far Yeast noon moon as a limited beer starting on May 20. The beer is a rebrew of a product first introduced in 2023, built around the idea of enjoying beer in the open air during the day. It is brewed at the company’s Genryu Brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, a source area of the Tama River and the home base for Far Yeast’s core and limited-edition lineup.
`noon moon` is an American Pale Ale with 4.5% ABV and 20 IBU. The hop bill includes Citra, Comet, Centennial, Mosaic Cryo, Mosaic Dynaboost, and Citra Dynaboost. According to the brewery, the beer is designed to balance floral, herbal, and woody notes with clear citrus and tropical aromas, while keeping bitterness slightly lower than before for a more outdoor-friendly drinking experience.
The release also includes an original BACK TO RIVER label. This project is linked to efforts to protect headwaters and river environments in Japan, and part of the sales is allocated to related conservation activities. That connection gives the beer a broader context beyond seasonality: it is not only an outdoor beer, but also a product that points back to water, nature, and the landscapes that support brewing itself.
The beer is being distributed through the official online store as well as liquor shops, bars, and restaurants nationwide. It is a straightforward, well-positioned seasonal release from a brewery that has long combined drinkability with a strong sense of place.
