Hideji Beer, a craft brewery from Nobeoka City in Miyazaki Prefecture, will exhibit at the 60th Azabu Juban Noryo Matsuri on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23. The festival will be held across the Azabu Juban shopping street area in Tokyo, and Hideji Beer’s booth will be located in Area G, Booths 7 and 8, near the Kimichan statue on Zoshiki-dori.
The brewery is based at the foot of Mount Mukabaki in northern Miyazaki and operates under the motto “Think Global, Brew Local.” In this event, it will join “Oraga Kuni Jiman,” a popular section that brings together local specialties from across Japan, as a representative of Nobeoka City.
On the day, Hideji Beer plans to offer Kyushu and Miyazaki craft beer along with chicken grilled with yuzu kosho. According to the brewery’s announcement, the pairing is meant to suit the hot summer season: a refreshing beer and juicy chicken seasoned with Miyazaki’s signature citrus chili paste.
Azabu Juban Noryo Matsuri is known for drawing large crowds every year, so the brewery is advising visitors to stop by early once they spot the booth. For beer fans, it will be a chance to enjoy Miyazaki’s local flavors in one of Tokyo’s best-known summer festivals.
