Mojiko Beer to Join the 8th Kyushu Oktoberfest from October 9

A four-brewery tasting of festival beers
The 8th Kyushu Oktoberfest in Mojiko will be held at Mojiko Retro Central Square from Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12, 2026. Admission is free, and visitors can sample festival beers brewed by Kyushu breweries as well as Oktoberfestbier from Germany.
The 2026 lineup is scheduled to include Kumamoto Craft Beer, KIRISHIMA BEER, Mojiko Beer, and Miyazaki Hideji Beer. Each brewery will offer its own festival beer along with two additional beers, while Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier will also be available. Mojiko Beer is expected to serve Weizen and limited beers, giving visitors an opportunity to compare the distinct character of beers from across Kyushu. Individual beers are priced at 700 yen, with sales ending once limited stocks run out.
The centerpiece of Oktoberfest is Festbier, a Märzen-style beer brewed in spring and matured until autumn. It is known for its rich malt aroma, rounded flavor, and deep body, offering a different drinking experience from beers centered on hop bitterness.
Food options are also planned, including charcoal-grilled Miyazaki chicken, steak sandwiches, wood-fired pizza, fried Mekajiki fish, and jerk chicken. Based in Kitakyushu, Mojiko Beer produces a range of beers including Weizen, Pale Ale, Sakura Beer, and Pilsner. For beer lovers, the event offers a chance to enjoy both classic and limited releases in the historic port setting of Mojiko.
Opening hours are 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on October 9, noon to 9:00 p.m. on October 10 and 11, and noon to 7:00 p.m. on October 12. There is no dedicated parking at the venue, so public transportation is recommended.
