Mojiko Beer will participate in the 8th Kyushu Oktoberfest in Mojiko, taking place over four days from October 9 to 12, 2026, at Mojiko Retro Central Plaza in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka.

Four Kyushu breweries will serve their own festival beers: Mojiko Beer, Kumamoto Craft Beer, KIRISHIMA BEER, and Miyazaki Hideji Beer. Each brewery is scheduled to offer two beers, while Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier from Germany will also be available. The lineup gives visitors an opportunity to compare local interpretations with a traditional German festival beer.

Malt-forward beers for the autumn season

Oktoberfestbier is traditionally brewed in spring and matured for several months before the autumn festival season. Often associated with the Märzen style, it is known for rich malt character, gentle bitterness, and a rounded, full-bodied flavor.

Based in Mojiko, Kitakyushu, Mojiko Beer produces a range of beers including Weizen, Pale Ale, Sakura Beer, and Pilsner. Its official website also lists the limited Giravaizen. At this event, the brewery is scheduled to serve its Weizen and limited beers alongside the festival lineup.

Food stalls will offer regional specialties and event-only dishes suited to beer. Admission is free. Standard hours are noon to 9 p.m.; the event opens at 5 p.m. on October 9 and closes at 7 p.m. on October 12. Beer is priced at 700 yen per serving, with limited selections available only while supplies last.

The venue is approximately a 15-minute walk from JR Mojiko Station. There is no dedicated parking area, so visitors are encouraged to use public transportation. For beer enthusiasts, the event offers a chance to explore the malt-driven character of festival beer while enjoying Mojiko’s historic waterfront setting.
