HNB Tap Takeover at Sakeota for Two Days on May 8 and 9
Hiroshima-based brewery HIROSHIMA NEIGHBORLY BREWING will hold a tap takeover at Sakeota in Sagamiono, Minami Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The event will run for two days, from the evening of May 8 through May 9, and will feature HNB beers.
HIROSHIMA NEIGHBORLY BREWING (Hiroshima Neighborly Brewing, abbreviated as HNB) is a brewery located in Otemachi, Naka Ward, Hiroshima City, near Hondori on the east side of Peace Memorial Park. On its official website, the brewery promotes the idea that "beer tastes good because there is peace," and aims to make beers people will want to drink again and again, while also incorporating ingredients from Hiroshima Prefecture.
The Instagram post announcing this event introduced a tap takeover at "Sakeota," located at 7-2-5 Sagamiono, Minami Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The event will run for two days, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on May 8 and from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on May 9, and the post describes it as a time when the taps will be thoroughly taken over for the full two days.
A highlight of the event is the chance to enjoy a concentrated lineup of HNB beers. The post indicates that the selection will include everything from popular staples to beers the brewery hopes visitors will try for this occasion, making it a tasting-friendly event for beer fans. Another distinctive point is that it is being presented as a place where sake and craft beer can be enjoyed together.
A rock-paper-scissors tournament is also planned, creating an extra reason to visit beyond beer service alone. How will HNB's character, cultivated in Hiroshima, come across in Sagamiono? These two days should offer a sense of unity that is unique to a tap takeover.
