A seasonal beer with more substance for winter

According to Fujizakura Kogen Beer's official blog, this season's Weizenbock arrives with a completely new label. Brewed for the winter season, it is a higher-alcohol bock beer characterized by a full-bodied palate made with a generous amount of malt. It also emphasizes the lively ester aroma derived from Weizen yeast and the deep, brown-hued flavor created by a blend that includes caramel malt.

Style positioning

According to the brewery's product information, Weizenbock is a German-style bock with 7.0% ABV and 15 IBU. Designed to balance fruitiness and a powerful body, it is clearly positioned as a seasonal beer to savor slowly in the cold months.

Flavor supported by the foot of Mount Fuji

Fujizakura Kogen Beer was founded in 1997 at an elevation of about 1,000 meters on the northern foothills of Mount Fuji. The brewery has continued making beer based on German brewing techniques and the high-quality soft water of the Mount Fuji area. Its lineup, from standard offerings to limited releases, is built on German-style beer, and it has also accumulated awards at competitions in Japan and abroad.

Purchase information

According to the official announcement, this Weizenbock is scheduled to go on sale soon at the Rakuten Marketplace store. The timing of the launch will be announced on Fujizakura Kogen Beer's Instagram. Because it is a seasonal release, it seems wise to check for stock early.
