Overview of the New Release

YUMEGAOKA SUNDAY BREWING, which brews on the first floor of the commercial complex "Yumegaoka Soratos" in Izumi Ward, Yokohama, teased its new beer "DRUNK CORGI" on Instagram. The post says production will begin in June 2026, and once brewing is complete from late July to early August, sales will begin sequentially in stores and on the online shop.

A Concept Inspired by a Corgi

The name comes from the corgi "Milo," the pet dog of the person in charge, Hiramaki. The post suggests a concept that translates a corgi’s charm directly into beer. One of its features is the use of upcycled bread scheduled for disposal from "gout gout Yumegaoka," also in Yumegaoka. The idea also expresses, through the ingredients, the image of a corgi’s rear end resembling a loaf of bread.

Flavor Profile

The beer style is introduced as a light-bodied pale ale inspired by the corgi’s coloring. The goal is to make it easy to drink even while out for a walk, while still letting you enjoy the malt’s richness in moderation. It is interesting that the concept is designed not only for gulping down in hot weather, but also for relaxed enjoyment in the slightly cooler evening hours.

The label’s "DRUNK CORGI" literally means "a drunk corgi." By overlapping it with the image of a toy-loving pet dog, you can sense the intention to finish it as a beer-lover’s dog-like character.
