A once-a-year fireworks plan by the waterfront

Mojiko Beer House has announced a special viewing plan for the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival on August 13, 2026. The event will be held at Mojiko Beer House, located at 6-9 Higashiminato-machi, Moji Ward, Kitakyushu, from around 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The plan lets guests watch one of the region’s largest fireworks displays up close while enjoying the brewery’s craft beer and a full course meal.

A course built around beer pairings

Before the fireworks begin, guests can dine at their seats. The special course includes an assorted appetizer plate from the chef, coarse-ground sausages made with Kirishima Sanso pork, cold pasta with basil-scented octopus and genovese sauce, spiced roast chicken from the Choshu region, a wood-fired Margherita pizza, and macedonia. The official page also suggests pairings with Weizen, Sakura Beer, Pale Ale, and Pilsner, showing that the menu is designed with beer in mind.

Seating, pricing, and reservations

During the fireworks, guests watch from assigned viewing seats. The 1st floor offers window-side seats inside the building and areas around the restaurant, while the 3rd floor offers special window seats. Seat locations on both floors are assigned by lottery.

- 1st floor: adults 10,000 yen; junior and senior high school students 8,500 yen; children under elementary school age 1,000 yen
- 3rd floor: adults 16,000 yen; junior and senior high school students 14,500 yen; children under elementary school age 1,000 yen

All prices include tax. Availability is limited, and reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis after payment. Guests are asked to call first to check availability, then complete the application process. The contact number is 093-342-7155, available from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A Moji Port brewery with a view

Mojiko Beer House operates as a craft beer restaurant in the Moji Port area and is known for its waterfront setting overlooking the Kanmon Strait. The brewery emphasizes freshly made beer, and this annual fireworks plan extends that experience into a special summer evening centered on the harbor, the fireworks, and locally brewed beer.
