Free Spirits Brewing taps its "Peach Hazy IPA" with white peach juice
Free Spirits Brewing in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, announced its new "Peach Hazy IPA" on Instagram. The Hazy IPA is brewed with white peach juice, and with Nectaron dry hopping and more oats, it aims for peach aroma and a smooth mouthfeel.
The brewpub Free Spirits Brewing in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, introduced its new beer, "Peach Hazy IPA," on Instagram. In the post, it said, "We'll have it on tap at our bar starting tomorrow," and explained that the beer was finished as a Hazy IPA made with plenty of white peach juice.
The recipe's defining point is the use of white peach juice, along with Nectaron as a dry hop. Building on a pairing the brewery had already used for its peach-like aroma, this version increases the amount of oats a little to heighten the softness and sweetness typical of a Hazy IPA. Its alcohol content is 7%, and its IBU is 20, making it an easy-drinking beer with restrained bitterness even in the numbers.
Free Spirits Brewing operates a brewpub in Himeji where brewing and serving are integrated, and continues to make beers that incorporate fruit and local character while centering on authentic American-style IPAs. The shop, which opened in Himeji in 2022, is committed to constantly releasing new beers, and this "Peach Hazy IPA" follows that line. Its flavor, layered with white peach-derived nuances, can be called one of the brewery's more distinctly seasonal new offerings.
