Grandline Brewing to Celebrate Third Anniversary with “KANPAI YOKOSUKA” on October 3–4
Yokosuka-based Grandline Brewing will host its third-anniversary event, “KANPAI YOKOSUKA,” on October 3 and 4. The two-day celebration will feature anniversary beers, a flower performance, and more than 10 taps highlighting the brewery’s evolving lineup.
Grandline Brewing, a craft brewery based in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, will hold its third-anniversary event, “3rd Anniversary Event ‘KANPAI YOKOSUKA,’” on October 3 and 4. The event will run from 12:00 to 21:00 on both days at the brewery’s taproom.
Opened on October 6, 2023, Grandline Brewing describes itself as a communication brewery working to create new beer culture from Yokosuka. Its mission is expressed through the phrase “More of the best moments of a kanpai,” or toast, and the anniversary event reflects that focus on beer, people, and shared experiences.
Two anniversary beers are scheduled to be served. “KANPAI YOKOSUKA #03” is a 7.0% American IPA brewed with Comet, Mosaic, Chinook, and Pahto hops. The brewery describes it as a robust, classic-minded IPA built around assertive hop character and firm bitterness. It is the third brewing in the anniversary series dedicated to a toast to Yokosuka.
The second release, “SUPERMERGE,” is a 6.5% Brut IPA. Southern Cross, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin hops are combined to create a dry, sharp finish with a clear hop profile. The beer had previously been developed through test brewing outside the brewery and returns in a new version brewed at Grandline Brewing in Yokosuka.
The planned lineup will also include the latest batch of the flagship Hazy Double IPA “Hello, World,” as well as “Only Impact,” “Mr. Patriot (2026),” collaboration beers, and other beers from the brewery’s popular series. More than 10 taps are expected to be available, with additional offerings possible as kegs are finished.
A flower performance by artist Takuto Higashi will also take place for the third consecutive year. Brewery owners and brewers, along with members of the KANPAIDAN and CBP communities, are expected to gather throughout the weekend.
The venue is Grandline Brewing at Fudō Yokosuka Mikasa Heights 102, 23-1 Ogawa-cho, Yokosuka, Kanagawa. The anniversary offers beer fans a chance to experience the brewery’s three-year journey through a lineup built especially for a toast to Yokosuka.
