Far Yeast Brewing announced on Instagram that it received strong results at the JBA National Craft Beer Quality Competition 2026. Far Yeast IPA won the top award, and Far Yeast Blonde and Far Yeast Lager each received excellent awards.

The three award-winning beers are part of the brewery’s core lineup. Far Yeast IPA is a Belgian IPA brewed with Belgian yeast and American hops, known for its bright aroma and a lingering bitterness. Far Yeast Blonde is a golden ale with a hoppy character and a clean, easy-drinking profile. Far Yeast Lager is a lager with citrus aroma from Citra hops and a crisp finish; it is sold only through the brewery’s directly managed locations and official online store.

Far Yeast Brewing’s Genryu Brewery is located in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. The brewery says the area offers a cool climate well suited to fermentation, and it has long used that setting to brew a wide range of beer styles.

The company’s mission is to ‘Democratize beer,’ and the Far Yeast brand is positioned as a balanced, everyday beer that can appeal to both newcomers and dedicated craft beer fans. These results suggest that the brewery’s approach to building reliable flagship beers continues to be recognized in competition.
