Collaboration Background

Grandline Brewing is a Yokosuka-based craft brewery in Kanagawa, Japan. On its official site, the brewery describes itself as a “Communication Brewery” that connects real and virtual, local and global communities through beer. nacol Beer reflects that collaborative mindset in a food-focused release.

About nacol Beer

The partner in this project is nacol, an Italian restaurant in Asakusa known for prosciutto and seasonal dishes. nacol Beer was developed to complement those flavors. It is a Cold Session IPA with 5.0% ABV. According to the release, the beer is finished with delicate lager yeast, giving it a dry and light texture that lifts the sweetness and saltiness of prosciutto while allowing a soft hop finish to linger.

Serving Information

Pairing service featuring nacol Beer begins at nacol on July 17, 2026. The collaboration is notable as an attempt to show how beer can play a refined food-pairing role, not just a casual one. Its lean body and restrained bitterness are designed to support the meal rather than overpower it, fitting Grandline Brewing’s broader focus on food-driven collaboration.
