On July 1, Sakura Brewery announced a collaboration beer called Hallerbos IPA -Presented by Beer Atelier- on Instagram. According to the post, the beer is a Belgian IPA with 6% ABV, 50 IBU, and 7.5 EBC. It is packaged as a 15L keg and will be available only in a very limited quantity.

The brewery says this beer is tied to a new project started by brewer @toshinori_yuzawa. The main outlet is @beer.atelier.hanamaki in Hanamaki, while Sakura Brewery plans to tap just one limited keg in the near future. In other words, this is a small-scale collaboration built around a specific venue rather than a broad release.

Sakura Brewery began production in Kitakami, Iwate in March 2015. Its official site describes the brewery as a place where a UK-born brewer makes beers in classic British styles, while also drawing inspiration from local products and regional culture. Hallerbos IPA fits that approach: a limited collaboration beer that adds something new to the brewery's lineup.

At the moment, the post does not mention a concrete launch date, only that the beer will open "soon." For beer fans, that makes the collaboration noteworthy not because of scale, but because of how tightly it is linked to the brewer, the venue, and a very limited keg count.
