About Sakura Brewery

Sakura Brewery began production in Kitakami in 2015, and opened its direct-run bar, ale house ROBIN HOOD, the following April. The brewery name comes from the cherry blossoms of Tenshochi, one of Kitakami’s best-known cherry blossom spots. Its beers reflect local ingredients and regional identity, including Sakura Ale, brewed with yeast cultivated from Tenshochi cherry blossoms, and Hayanma Lager, brewed with water sourced from the Mizubasho wetlands in the Kitakami-Iwasawa area. The brewery regularly offers more than 10 beers and remains a familiar name in the Tohoku craft beer scene.
