About Sakura Brewery
Sakura Brewery is a craft brewery in Kitakami, Iwate, and began production in 2015. On its official website, the brewery says its beers are shaped by local ingredients and regional character, including beers inspired by Kitakami’s cherry blossoms and water from the area. It also features limited beers brewed in a British style by an English brewer, with more than 10 beers available at a time.
For beer fans heading to Sendai in mid-August, Sakura Brewery’s return adds another reason to stop by. The festival should offer a useful snapshot of how the brewery balances local identity, familiar styles, and limited releases.
