Derailleur Brew Works Introduces a Sake Yeast IPA at the Wano Beer Festival
Derailleur Brew Works introduced "ANONYMOUS BREWHOLIC Re:VOLUTION #003," brewed with sake yeast, as its featured brewery entry for the second "Wano Beer Festival." A session in Osaka's Shinsaibashi is also scheduled for April 25.
The second "Wano Beer Festival" is a circuit event themed around sake yeast, taking place at about 10 venues nationwide from March through April 2026. Derailleur Brew Works, one of the participating breweries, has continued making beer based in Osaka's Nishinari, rooted in the neighborhood known as "AREA2470 = Nishinari," a city where people enjoy alcohol from the morning. Its official website also highlights an approach that is not bound by common sense or a single path, giving it a strong presence as a brewery whose appeal includes the atmosphere of its locale.
In this Instagram post, the brewery is introducing "ANONYMOUS BREWHOLIC Re:VOLUTION #003" as its featured beer for the event. The specifications are as follows.
- Beer style: Sake IPA
- Alcohol by volume: 7.0%
- Japanese sake yeast used: Kyokai No. 9 yeast
The venue is Stand Umineko Hanare in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, and the event will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 17:00 to 23:00. The post also notes a change in business hours, so it would be wise to confirm the serving times and operating details in advance. The second Wano Beer Festival is notable for letting visitors compare each brewery's individuality through the lens of sake yeast, and Derailleur Brew Works' beer is one you'd want to taste within that context.
