Features of "Furi (Alt)"

Derailleur Brew Works in Osaka's Nishinari Ward introduced its new product "Furi (Alt)" in an Instagram post. The style is Altbier, with ABV 5%, IBU 40, and SRM 18. The ingredients are listed as malt (produced in Canada, produced in Germany), hops, and carbon dioxide. The post announced that it would be released from 11:00.

Respect for Düsseldorf, Germany

The product description says it was brewed as a tribute to Altbier from Düsseldorf, Germany. When poured, its clear, beautiful copper color is striking. The aroma is said to be dominated by the roasty malt character reminiscent of biscuits and nuts, with a subtle berry-like ester adding an accent.

Flavor Design

On the palate, the beer combines the fullness of an ale with the clean finish of a lager, while the strong, sharp bitterness of noble hops tightens the whole profile. Rather than going for flashiness, it carefully showcases the contours of the malt and the crispness of the hops, giving it the solid, straightforward impression typical of Altbier.
