Far Yeast Brewing's Far Yeast TRIGGER Chapter.5 is the fifth installment in the TRIGGER series and a limited-release beer brewed at the company's source brewery in Kosuge, Yamanashi. The brewery's base in a rural village is part of its identity, and that setting frames this release as both a local product and a hop-driven experiment.

The key ingredient is HBC 1176, a trial hop from Yakima Chief Hops' FWD innovation program. Far Yeast pairs it with Columbus for dank intensity and Simcoe for tropical character, then adds pine, citrus, and berry notes through HBC 1176. The brewery describes the result as a balanced West Coast IPA with firm bitterness and a silky, juicy mouthfeel.

The beer is a West Coast IPA at 6.5% ABV, packaged in 350ml cans and 15L kegs. Sales start on June 10, with shipments rolling out from June 11 through the official online store, liquor shops, restaurants, and beer bars. It is a straightforward release, but one that shows how a classic style can be reworked with an experimental hop lineup.
