Free Spirits Brewing Releases Spring-Limited "Cranberry Saison"
Free Spirits Brewing in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, is beginning sales of its new "Cranberry Saison." This saison uses 100% cranberry juice and will be served at the spring event "Sakura Craft Beer Buffet."
The brewpub Free Spirits Brewing in Kubo-cho, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, has released a new beer, "Cranberry Saison." In its post, it is being introduced as a beer perfect for spring, and sales will begin at the "Sakura Craft Beer Buffet" starting tomorrow.
This beer is a saison style that makes generous use of 100% cranberry juice. It is designed to combine the fruity tartness from the cranberries with the spicy character typical of saison yeast, giving depth within a light body. Its appearance also finishes in a rosé color, creating a spring-like look that overlaps with the cherry blossom season. Specs are ABV 5.6% and IBU 21. The hops used are Chinook, Mosaic, and Moutere, and the malt is Ale malt.
Free Spirits Brewing is a brewpub attached to a brewery within walking distance of Himeji Station, offering a style in which you can enjoy food and beer on the second floor while brewing on the first floor. Representative Mr. Miyazaki studied brewing in California and opened the brewery in his hometown of Himeji in 2022. He has continued creating products unconstrained by convention, such as American-style IPAs and fruit beers using local yuzu. This move to release a new beer to match seasonal events also clearly reflects that stance.
