Hideji Beer heads to one of Japan's biggest festivals

Hideji Beer, based in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture, will exhibit at the "2026 Keyaki Hiroba Spring Beer Festival" held at Keyaki Hiroba in Saitama Shintoshin. Known as one of Japan's largest craft beer events, where breweries from across the country gather, Hideji Beer will participate at booth No. 17.

The brewery is a local craft beer maker that uses Kyushu as its field to spread the region's appeal through beer. That approach is clearly reflected in this appearance as well. Its flagship beer, "Kyushu CRAFT Hyuganatsu," is a fruit lager made with Hyuganatsu, a specialty citrus of Miyazaki Prefecture, and its defining traits are a refreshing aroma and a light, easy-drinking finish. "Taiyo no Lager" has won at the World Beer Cup 2023, and "Kurikuro" is listed as an imperial stout.

Limited releases and tasting comparisons

At the venue, in addition to the regular lineup, beers such as "Kinkan Weizen," "Hop Biyori," "Miyazaki Grapefruit White Lager," "Kyushu CRAFT Yuzu," "Ki wa Yasashikute Chikaramochi," "COFFEE LAGER 2025," "Hideji × Mojiko Collaboration 'Taiyo no Weizen'," "Hideji × B.M.B Collaboration 'West Coast IPA'," and "Hideji × NOVORU Collaboration 'Hazy IPA'" will also be available. A tasting set that lets you choose four types in small cups is also on offer, making it easy for first-time Hideji Beer drinkers to try a range.

Miyazaki-style food also on hand

The food lineup, designed to pair well with beer, includes fish and chips and karaage made with mehikari, a Miyazaki specialty; Maximum Fried; cream cheese misozuke; and Kurikuro affogato. A highlight of this event is that you can enjoy not just the beer itself, but also combinations of local ingredients and flavors.

The event runs from May 13 to 17. For drinkers, this will be a noteworthy appearance as the Miyazaki brewery puts forward its key labels at a major beer festival in the Kanto region.
