Far Yeast Brewing releases canned 'Onegai Si Muscat' Brut IPA
The limited beer first created at Far Yeast Tokyo has been released in cans and kegs nationwide. Brewed with muscat juice and Nelson Sauvin hops, it aims for a sparkling-wine-like, dry finish.
From taproom special to nationwide release
Far Yeast Brewing released `Onegai Si Muscat` in both kegs and cans on July 8, 2026. The beer was originally created by staff at Far Yeast Tokyo in Gotanda as a limited taproom offering, and it quickly built a following. Turning it into a canned product makes the beer much easier to find beyond the taproom.
A Brut IPA built around muscat
The style is `Brut IPA with Muscat`. It uses muscat juice and Nelson Sauvin hops, with an ABV of 6.5% and an IBU of 20. The recipe keeps bitterness low and pushes fruit aroma to the front, aiming for a crisp, dry finish that can feel closer to sparkling wine than to a classic hop-forward IPA. Because muscat is used, the beer is classified as happoshu under Japanese tax law.
Brewed in Kosuge, Yamanashi
Far Yeast Brewing’s Genryu Brewery is located in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. The company has built its reputation on a mix of Far Yeast core beers, limited releases, `KAGUA`, and `Off Trail`, while using regional ingredients and a distinctly original brewing approach. This latest canned release fits that pattern: a taproom-born beer made more widely available without losing its sense of place.
