According to Nori’s Beer, at the “Japan Great Beer Awards 2026” held on February 23 and 24, the brewery entered three beers and won 2 golds and 1 bronze. The notable point this time was that every entry received an award.

The Three Award-Winning Beers

- Gold: American Pale Ale
- Gold: Hazy YUZU IPA
- Bronze: Nanbu CHA Ale

In the post, the brewery also announced that these three beers would be served at the Tap Room over the weekend and at “Shizuoka Outside Friends 2026” on February 28 and March 1. It should be a chance to compare the award-winning beers side by side.

Nori’s Beer is a brewery based in Yamanashi that focuses on brewing with local ingredients. On its official website, it presents itself as a craft beer specialty shop from the Kyonan region of Yamanashi Prefecture, offering a lineup that includes seasonal fruit beers and beers that make use of locally sourced ingredients. In fact, Nanbu CHA Ale, which won an award this time, is made with a famous tea from Nanbu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, while Hazy YUZU IPA is developed using yuzu from Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture. The results can be seen as reinforcing the company’s direction of “translating local ingredients into beer.”

The award news is glamorous, but what stands out is the continuity behind it. In its post, Nori’s Beer said it will continue working to make beers that are even more loved. It will be interesting to see how recipe development tied to the region leads to the next award-winning beers.
