KAWASAKI Craft Beer Stand in Kawasaki updates to 18 taps centered on Tokaido Beer, with the spotlight on "Yo no Iro"
On May 4, KAWASAKI Craft Beer Stand by Tokaido Beer announced an 18-tap lineup centered on Tokaido Beer. The recommendation is "Yo no Iro," a Scotch Ale made with shell ginger. It is an easy stop inside Kawasaki Azalea, and you can enjoy it even if you bring your own food.
At "KAWASAKI Craft Beer Stand by Tokaido Beer" in Kawasaki Azalea, the underground shopping area directly connected to Kawasaki Station, the tap list for May 4 was released. The shop is a standing-room beer pub that is easy to drop into, and you can bring your own food. It is a convenient place for a quick drink during shopping or for a warm-up before heading out for drinks.
The highlight of the day is Tokaido BEER's No. 8, "Yo no Iro." It is a Scotch Ale with 8% ABV. It is introduced as a beer that combines the aroma of shell ginger, an Okinawan herb, with the sweetness of malt, giving it a clear drinking profile despite the higher alcohol content.
The lineup is built around Tokaido BEER's own labels, covering a wide range from IPA, Porter, Amber Ale, Belgian Wheat, Fruit Hazy IPA, Pale Ale, Hazy IPA, to MILK SHAKE IPA. In addition, there are distinctive beers from other breweries, including Oriental Brewing's "Kima Beer," West Coast Brewing's "SlowMotion," TKBREWING's "#442 Hop Randezvous," and REPUBREW's "A Drop of Sake, A Drop of Blood."
Fruit-forward and sour styles are also well represented, with Yellow Monkey Brewing's "HANA YUZU" and "BarrelAgedCranberey," Garyu Brewing's "Garyu Pale Ale ~Timeless~," Nori's Beer's "Fruity and Easy to Drink," and Yokohama Beer's "SuperSonicSpeedSour" all listed. Looking across styles as well, the selection is broad, including White Ale, Fruit Wheat Ale, Fruit IPA, US Pale Ale, and Fruits Sour Ale, making it easy to choose from a light pour to a beer with a strong malt presence.
Tokaido BEER is also participating in the Miurakaigan Beer Festival from April 29 to May 6, and the Kawasaki location is said to be welcoming guests with multiple beers on tap during that period as well. It is a highly usable tap stand where you can enjoy a single craft beer in Kawasaki or sample several side by side.
