Far Yeast Brewing Releases "Peach Haze" Using 500 kg of Yamanashi Peaches
Far Yeast Brewing has released the fruit pale ale "Far Yeast Peach Haze," made with 500 kg of peaches from Peaches Specialty Yamashita, a peach farm in Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture. From its source brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi, the company is once again delivering a spring-summer staple this year.
On April 15, Far Yeast Brewing began selling the hazy-style fruit pale ale "Far Yeast Peach Haze." Brewed at its brewery in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, this beer was born from the company's "Brewed with YAMANASHI" initiative, which continues to work with local producers in Yamanashi.
The peaches used this time came from Peaches Specialty Yamashita, a peach farm in Yamanashi City. With a generous 500 kg added, the beer aims for a juicy, smooth mouthfeel while putting the aroma and flavor of peaches front and center. For the yeast, it uses "Pomona," also used in Hazy IPAs and similar beers, and the hops "Idaho7 Cryo," "Citra," and "Nectaron" were combined to layer in aromas reminiscent of citrus and tropical fruit.
Specifications are 5.0% ABV and 10 IBU. It was offered in 350 ml cans and 15 L kegs, with shipments to liquor retailers, restaurants, and beer bars nationwide beginning April 16, and rollout through the official online store starting April 17. As a seasonal beer that distills Yamanashi's identity as a peach-producing region directly into the beer, it balances Far Yeast's signature clarity with drinkability.
The Far Yeast brand, brewed at the source brewery surrounded by Kosuge Village's nature, is known for aromas and balance that pair easily with everyday meals. "Peach Haze" keeps that direction while centering local fruit, resulting in a seasonal limited release that is easy to pick up from spring into early summer.
