Baeren Brewery to Host Yamagata Village Shorthorn Beef BBQ and Beer Fest in Kuji on June 21
On June 21, Baeren Brewery will hold the "Yamagata Village Shorthorn Beef BBQ & Baeren Beer Fest" at Naka-machi Event Plaza in Kuji, Iwate. The event combines BBQ featuring shorthorn beef, all-you-can-drink beer, and free shuttle buses from Morioka Station, bringing together foods and beer from within the prefecture.
Baeren Brewery, based in Morioka, Iwate, has planned an event in Kuji where visitors can enjoy Yamagata Village Shorthorn Beef and the brewery's own beer. The venue is Naka-machi Event Plaza, and it will be held on Sunday, June 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
The event is called "Yamagata Village Shorthorn Beef BBQ & Baeren Beer Fest." It centers on a BBQ using Iwate's proud Yamagata Village Shorthorn Beef and all-you-can-drink Baeren Beer. The BBQ set is limited to 200 tickets, priced at 3,900 yen in advance and 4,400 yen on the day. All-you-can-drink beer is 2,600 yen in advance and 3,600 yen on the day. If you buy the BBQ set and all-you-can-drink beer together, you get 500 yen off.
There are also transportation measures. A free shuttle bus from Morioka Station is available, with advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis for 45 people. Applications are accepted at Baeren's stores in Morioka City, including the Baeren factory direct shop, Beer Base Baeren Morioka Ekimae, Beer Front Baeren Morioka Ekimae, Beer Bar Baeren Nakanohashi, Saien Microbrewery, and Beer Pub Baeren Zaimokucho (open Saturdays only). In Kuji, tickets are also available at the Yamase Dofukan "Kaze no Yakata" tourist information center, the Kuji City Information Exchange Center YOMUNOS, and Tamura Sake Shop. Payment is cash only.
Live performances from the "Machinaka Music Festival" are also planned for the same day, making it an event to enjoy not just food but music as well. As a brewery based in Morioka, Iwate, Baeren Brewery has broadened the ways people enjoy beer by combining it with local ingredients and events. This event is also worth watching as a local gathering that connects the prefecture's food culture with craft beer.
