Summer Festival for the 7th Anniversary, Again This Year in Mochimune
West Coast Brewing, based in Shizuoka City, will hold its 7th anniversary event, "WCB Summer Festival 2026," on Sunday, July 5, from 12:00 to 20:00. The venue is the covered multipurpose plaza on the west side of Mochimune Port, behind the brewery. Admission is free, and the event will take place rain or shine.
In this announcement, the schedule was adjusted from the original plan, and attendees were informed that the main event will be held for one day only on July 5. The venue is a 12-minute walk from JR Mochimune Station, making it easy to access.
Highlights of the Day
At the WCB booth, there will be the same reliable 20 taps every year, and beer will be served in exchange for advance-sale tickets or same-day tickets. Food stalls, including local eateries and popular shops, will line the venue, creating a setup where visitors can move around the entire area while enjoying beer and food together.
The guest performances are also packed. Planned attractions include live band performances by the Imagine Bon Odori Club, a powerful collaboration of tezutsu fireworks and taiko drums, and an appearance by Verty, the official mascot of Veltex Shizuoka. A finale fireworks display is also expected before closing, promising a fitting festival ending.
7th Anniversary-Only Moves
Related goods will be sold over two days, on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5, from 10:00 at the WCB Mochimune Taproom across from the venue. July 4 is not the main festival itself, but a pre-party is scheduled by reservation at "HITO/THE YARD" in central Shizuoka City.
WCB is a brewery based in Mochimune, Shizuoka, that has continued to create distinctive craft beer and run community-rooted events. Even for its anniversary festival, the brewery is notable for presenting it not as a simple beer event, but as a regional summer festival combining music, fireworks, and local vendors. If you are considering attending, it is worth checking the guidance in advance, including heatstroke precautions, bringing identification, and using public transportation.
