Derailleur Brew Works, the Osaka-based craft brewery from Nishinari, has introduced a new beer on Instagram: Cream Soda Meltdown, a Melon Float IPA. The post opens with the evocative line "Neon afterglow, dissolving into green..." and says the beer will be released from 11 a.m. today.

The beer is listed at 5% ABV and 19 IBU. Its ingredients include malt (produced in Germany), melon puree, melon sauce, hops, carbon dioxide, colorants (safflower yellow and gardenia), flavoring, and acidulant. According to the product description, the goal is to turn the familiar taste of cream soda into a beer that feels lighter and fresher, with juicy melon character and the sweet aroma associated with cream soda.

Derailleur Brew Works has been brewing in Nishinari since 2018, building beers with a strong Osaka identity and a playful, story-driven approach. Releases such as Nishinari Riot Ale and Shinsekai Neuromancer show how the brewery pairs each beer with its own narrative and artwork. This latest release follows the same path, and sales are being guided through the brewery's official EC site.
