Baeren Brewery to Release Shiso Lemon Radler with Miyako’s Kawai Red Shiso
Baeren Brewery in Morioka, Iwate, has announced a new beer, Shiso Lemon Radler, made with Kawai red shiso from Miyako City. Ahead of the release, the brewery paid a courtesy visit to the city mayor and highlighted the project as a regional collaboration.
Baeren Brewery, based in Morioka, Iwate, has announced `Shiso Lemon Radler`, a new beer made with Kawai red shiso, a GI-registered specialty from Miyako City in Iwate Prefecture. Before the release, the brewery visited the Miyako mayor to introduce the project.
This is the second beer in Baeren's regional collaboration series using Kawai red shiso. The beer is described as a low-alcohol radler that combines the refreshing character of the shiso with the bright acidity of Sicilian lemon juice. It brings together the classic German beer-cocktail style with the vivid color derived from red shiso.
