Baeren Brewery, based in Morioka, Iwate, has announced `Shiso Lemon Radler`, a new beer made with Kawai red shiso, a GI-registered specialty from Miyako City in Iwate Prefecture. Before the release, the brewery visited the Miyako mayor to introduce the project.

This is the second beer in Baeren's regional collaboration series using Kawai red shiso. The beer is described as a low-alcohol radler that combines the refreshing character of the shiso with the bright acidity of Sicilian lemon juice. It brings together the classic German beer-cocktail style with the vivid color derived from red shiso.

Product details shared by the brewery are as follows:

- Ingredients: malt (foreign-brewed), sugars, shiso extract (red shiso from Iwate), lemon juice, hops
- Style: Radler
- ABV: 2.5%
- Sales channels: Kitayama Brewery shop, Baeren Web Shop, Yambikan, and selected retail stores

As a brewery rooted in Morioka, Baeren has long connected beer with local ingredients and regional culture. This release continues that direction, offering a beer that reflects both Iwate's food heritage and brewing tradition.
