According to WCB, the venue is expected to feature not only beer but also food vendors selected with beer pairings in mind. Based on the response to last year’s event, the brewery says it plans to update its heat countermeasures for this year.
WCB is a brewery based in Mochimune, Shizuoka, that began operating in earnest in 2019, starting from the idea of bringing to Japan the kind of fresh craft beer people drank in the U.S. The Mochimune brewing facility was equipped with systems geared toward dry-hopping, and the brewery has maintained a structure that allows it to continuously release new beers. In recent years, in addition to running its own retail locations and distributing beyond Shizuoka Prefecture, the brewery has expanded into Asian markets as well, making this summer festival feel like a milestone event where locals can experience that journey in Mochimune.
Since drinking alcohol is prohibited by law for anyone under 20, visitors will be asked to cooperate with age verification upon entry.
