GRANDLINE Brewing in Yokosuka, Kanagawa has launched a three-brewery collaboration project called Hanto Alliance together with SHIMODA BREWING COMPANY in Izu, Shizuoka, and Atsumi Peninsula Brewing in Tahara, Aichi. The project is designed to make use of regional resources and promote craft beer culture by highlighting the character of each peninsula through beer.

The first beer in the series is `Passion Voyage`, brewed by GRANDLINE Brewing. It is a Fruited Hazy Double IPA at 8.0% ABV. According to the release, the beer combines tropical hop aroma from Citra and Mosaic with rich passion fruit character and bright key lime acidity. Wheat malt and oats are used to create a silky texture and a smooth drinking impression.

Based in the port city of Yokosuka, GRANDLINE Brewing has built its identity around a location where history and diverse cultural influences meet. In this project, the breweries aim to connect the distinct identities of the Miura, Atsumi, and Izu peninsulas and create a broader network rather than a one-off collaboration. The release frames the project as an effort to turn places that may feel “far away” into destinations people want to visit, with more peninsula-inspired beers planned in sequence.
