Novoru Brewing (Miyazaki) has announced "Iwau" as a new addition to its collaboration lineup. According to the post, it is a beer celebrating the 4th anniversary of the popular Quokka in Gyotoku, Chiba. The style is West Coast Pale Ale, and the alcohol content is 4.5%.

The beer was said to be finished with a large amount of dry hopping, giving it a fresh, slightly hazy gold color. Its hop profile is built around Amarillo-derived grapefruit and orange peel, Nelson Sauvin-derived white grape and lime, and the bright citrus aroma of NZ Cascade. The bitterness is described as "moderate, sharp, and dry," with a recipe designed to pair well with food.

Keeping the ABV at 4.5% also clearly reflects the intent behind this collaboration. While retaining a distinctly West Coast profile, the recipe aims for a drinkability that makes it easy to keep pouring another glass, which fits naturally with an anniversary celebration.

On its official website, Novoru Brewing describes itself as a brewery with the mission of "making people happy with the best beer." Brewing takes place at its base in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture (939 Shimonohara, Yamazaki-cho, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture), and the brewery continues to work across styles centered on IPA and Pale Ale, while also keeping classic styles in view. This release of "Iwau" can be seen as a concrete expression of that design philosophy in a collaboration context.
