Points of Interest for Beer Fans

Shonan Beer is a brand known for unfiltered, unpasteurized beer with living yeast and a fresh character. It sets the quality retention period at 120 days under refrigeration (180 days for some products), and its defining feature is a design premise built around temperature control. A festival held on the brewery’s own grounds by a brewery that puts such a strong emphasis on freshness is not to be missed, as it offers a chance to enjoy a variety of beers in a state close to the moment they were made.

At the venue, brewery restaurant Chenso, MOKICHI TRATTORIA, mokichi cafe, and the gardens on the premises will be part of the event, while some bakery and shop operations will continue as usual. The appeal of this event lies in how a daily production site like a sake brewery transforms for just two days into a large, walk-around dining space.

For Shonan Beer, which has consistently supported Kanagawa’s craft beer scene, Sakagura Fest is more than just a seasonal event; it is a place that makes visible the connection between local food culture and craft beer. Beer fans looking for a spring excursion should secure tickets early.
