OH!LA!HO BEER, based in Tohmi, Nagano, will release a limited-edition beer under its flagship Captain Crow line: Captain Crow Crazy Hazy Joe. The beer is scheduled to go on sale on June 18, 2026, with distribution planned through supermarkets and liquor stores nationwide.

The new release is a Hazy IPA, a style known for its cloudy appearance, hop-driven aroma, and juicy flavor. In the brewery's announcement, Hazy IPA is described as an IPA style with roots on the U.S. East Coast and as a beer category that has now become a familiar standard in Japan's craft beer market. This release leans into that character with a bright, aromatic profile.

OH!LA!HO BEER developed the beer in response to the growing popularity of Hazy IPA in Japan and abroad. By positioning it within the Captain Crow series, the brewery aims to make it a beer that more people can enjoy, alongside its core Extra Pale Ale. The packaging keeps the brand's established look while using vivid, vitamin-like colors designed to feel cheerful in hand.
