This beer is an experimental release that preserves the rich character typical of Hazy IPAs while deliberately dialing back sweetness and sharpening the outline with a subtle bitterness. Its aroma evokes fruit notes reminiscent of peach and berry, and the mouthfeel is designed to deliver a solid sense of satisfaction without feeling too light. The style is Hazy IPA, with an ABV of 7.0%. The hops used are HBC638, Strata, and Talus.
Grandline Brewing is based in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, and opened on October 6, 2023. On its official website, the brewery describes its approach as making glocal beer that connects Yokosuka to the rest of Japan and then to the world, along with its "Crypto Beer" initiative that spans the real and virtual worlds. This Trial βrew #03 is also positioned as part of that direction, as an attempt to explore a new balance for Hazy beers.
