Kanagawa-based Yorocco Beer Iwase Brewery introduced "Liberation Pils" (German Pils) on Instagram as "Yorocco's release for this week."

According to the post, the beer uses 100% German organic pilsner malt and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops. After fermentation with classic lager yeast, it undergoes an extended cold maturation period (lagering), making it a faithful German-style lager.

The brewery explained that it is "a very simple brewing method, but one that takes a lot of effort." The emphasis on steady craftsmanship rather than flash suggests a build that brings out the crisp, clean character typical of a lager. As for the drinking experience, the brewery also added that they want people to enjoy it casually, "with an easy gulp."

Looking ahead to spring, the brewery suggested keeping a few cans in the refrigerator and also mentioned that it pairs well with the cherry blossom night season. It has already been shipped to many restaurants, and it should be available both in cans and on tap. The call to try it if you spot it also makes clear that this is positioned as a staple lager for everyday life.
