Yellow Monkey Brewing, based in Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama, will host a release event with its collaboration partner Yoshida Chaen for ChaChaCha - Japanese Green Tea Beer. The beer goes on sale on Saturday, July 25, and the event takes place the following day, Sunday, July 26, at TEA STUDIO AOYAMA in Minato, Tokyo.

ChaChaCha is presented as a Japanese Style Beer that layers the delicate umami and lingering finish of Japanese tea onto a simple, clean beer base. The brewery says the idea began with iced first-flush tea tasted at Yoshida Chaen in Koga, Ibaraki. From there, the team built the recipe around a blend of three tea leaves with different characteristics, aiming to make Japanese tea the main character in the glass.

At the event, guests will be able to taste Yoshida Chaen tea alongside ChaChaCha while hearing directly from the makers about the tea leaves and the story behind the beer. Rather than a standard launch party, the event is designed as a small-format session focused on process, ingredients, and the relationship between tea and beer.

Event details:

- Date and time: Sunday, July 26, 2026, 11:00-13:00 (doors open at 10:50)
- Venue: TEA STUDIO AOYAMA, 2-10-29 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo
- Capacity: 15 guests, first come first served, reservation only
- Fee: 5,500 yen, tax included, prepaid

Yellow Monkey Brewing has consistently emphasized community-building through beer and sports, and its taproom in Yokohama serves as a local gathering place. That background makes this release feel very much in line with the brewery's direction: beer as a way to connect people, while also opening up a conversation about ingredients and culture.

For drinkers interested in tea-forward beers, ChaChaCha offers a chance to see how a Japanese ingredient can shape aroma, structure, and aftertaste in a craft beer context. The event should appeal not only to beer fans, but also to anyone curious about how tea and brewing can meet in one glass.
