Guest Beer Arrives
Yellow Monkey Brewing's "HANA YUZU (hana yuzu)" has been added to THE CRAFT, a beer pub just a one-minute walk from Susukino Station in Sapporo. The venue introduced it on Instagram as "New!", suggesting that it has begun being served as a guest beer.
"HANA YUZU" is a fruit wheat ale that combines hana yuzu and sake yeast. Its signature is a refreshing citrus aroma and pleasant acidity derived from the hana yuzu, and by using New Zealand Riwaka hops, you can enjoy layered aromas of hana yuzu, hops, coriander seed, and sake yeast. With an ABV of 4.5%, it is designed to be easy to keep drinking.
The background of its ingredients is another highlight of this beer. The hana yuzu and coriander seed were harvested at "Arimane Nouen" in Kawasaki, run by the wife and husband who are childhood friends of a YMB taproom staff member, Mr. Shirai. This is a beer whose flavor reflects both the individuality of its ingredients and the connections among the people who made it.
THE CRAFT is a beer pub where you can enjoy 33 taps of draft craft beer and authentic Italian cuisine. It offers a selection of craft beers from Hokkaido and across Japan, and the interior is a red-brick space inspired by the atmosphere of real New York. If you want to compare craft beers or choose a beer carefully to pair with dinner, this HANA YUZU seems like a great option.
