Setouchi Brewery Releases 5th Anniversary "HIGH FIVE IPA"
Setouchi Brewery (SETOUCHI BEER) in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, released the limited-batch brew "SETOUCHI HIGH FIVE IPA" on October 15, 2025 to mark its 5th anniversary. From November 1 to 3, it will also hold a commemorative event centered on draft pours at its attached taproom, "Riverside 351."
What Setouchi Brewery launched as its milestone beer was SETOUCHI HIGH FIVE IPA, a name that layers the meanings of "high five" and "cheers." It is a commemorative beer that expresses gratitude for the connections formed over the past five years and anticipation for the new encounters to come.
According to the official announcement, the core of the recipe is 11 kinds of hops. It is designed to layer aromas reminiscent of tropical fruit and citrus, then finish with a light bitterness, aiming for a festive, celebratory IPA profile. The label depicts the brewer and friends dressed as DJs, visually conveying the excitement of the brewery's 5th anniversary.
As part of the launch celebration, the brewery's attached taproom, "Riverside 351" (Matsushima-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture), will open draft pours from Saturday, November 1, 2025, through Monday, November 3, 2025 (national holiday). During the period, the "HIGH FIVE to 5 years!" campaign will also offer 120 ml servings to visiting customers.
SETOUCHI BEER was established in November 2020. With a mission to convey the climate and culture of the Setouchi region through beer, it has continued brewing and sharing rooted in the local community. In recent years, it has also focused on sustainability, working with virtually renewable energy and reusing spent grain. This 5th anniversary beer is a release that shares that journey in the form of a "cheers," and seems to mark where the brewery stands today.
