SETOUCHI BEER heads to Matsumoto Castle Park

Setouchi Brewery, based in Takamatsu, Kagawa, has announced its participation in Beer Fest Shinshu 2026. The festival will be held at Matsumoto Castle Park in Matsumoto, Nagano, from September 19 through September 23, 2026. Visitors will be able to enjoy craft beer with views of the historic castle.

The festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The opening day begins at noon, while the final day ends at 5:00 p.m. At its booth, Setouchi Brewery plans to serve six distinctive beers, including both core beers and limited releases. The selection should offer visitors a chance to compare several expressions of SETOUCHI BEER in one place.

Brewing with the character of the Setouchi region

Setouchi Brewery’s brewhouse is located in Takamatsu, on the northeastern side of Shikoku. The brewery draws inspiration from the Setouchi region’s islands, bright skies, dry air, and calm inland-sea waters, incorporating the area’s natural and cultural character into its beers.

Since beginning brewing in 2021, the brewery says it has created more than 70 beers each year, from established favorites to seasonal limited releases. Its team handles the process from planning and recipe design through brewing, packaging, and shipping, with the aim of creating beers that evoke the landscapes of Setouchi.

For beer lovers in Nagano, the festival will be an opportunity to discover beers that are usually associated with Kagawa and the Setouchi coast. Visitors heading to Matsumoto Castle Park can look forward to exploring the brewery’s six-beer lineup.
