Beta III / Beets Sour Saison
VERTERE, the brewery based in Okutama, Tokyo, will release a new beer called Beta III / Beets Sour Saison at 12:00 on July 3. Brewed with beets from Ome Farm in Ome, Tokyo, the beer is listed at 5.5% ABV. In the Instagram post, VERTERE describes it as the third release in its beet sour saison series.
The brewery operates from Okutama, where its main taproom and bottle shop are located, and continues to build a lineup that often highlights distinctive ingredients and clean, expressive styles. Beta III fits that approach: it uses local beets as a core ingredient rather than as a novelty add-on.
According to the post, the beer shows a bright pink hue from red beets, a lemon-candy-like aroma, and restrained earthy beet character. The flavor profile is framed by gentle acidity and a light salinity, aiming for a refreshing finish.
This release will arrive as two four-bottle packs:
- Sour Pack
- Beta III / Beets Sour Saison
- Pieris / Lime Sour Saison w/Mint
- Zela / Pomegranate Sour
- Nox / Sour IPA
- Variety Pack [A]
- Beta III / Beets Sour Saison
- Duranta / NZ Pilsner
- Passiflora / Hazy IPA
- Benitoa / Belgian Blonde
VERTERE also plans a free-shipping campaign for its online shop from July 3 through July 9. For orders of 8,000 yen or more per shipping address, delivery is free nationwide, which makes this a convenient window for picking up the new release together with other bottles.
