Java Finch 2025 #4

The new release announced by Inkhorn Brewing is `Java Finch 2025 #4`. It is an American IPA with an alcohol content of 6.5%, and it is listed on the e-commerce site as a 24-pack of 355 ml cans.

At the core of this beer is the combination of Citra and Krush. Its aroma and flavor are designed so that the fruitiness of grapefruit is layered with bitterness reminiscent of the white pith, followed by a piney impression evoking resin. As the temperature rises, notes of orange and pineapple are said to emerge as well.

Inkhorn Brewing is a brewery based in Mejiro, Toshima Ward, Tokyo. It has a tasting room and works across a wide range of styles, from IPA to lager, but this `Java Finch` is positioned as a beer that tightens the balance between clarity and drinkability. According to the brewery, this is the fourth batch since the start of the year, and it was finished through repeated fine adjustments to the malt and hops.

In terms of recipe design, the amount of wheat was increased to add body and a softer mouthfeel, while the dry finish and bitterness give it a distinctly IPA-like outline. Another feature is that it was not built solely from Citra and Krush; Idaho 7 Quantum was added early in fermentation and Mega Motueka later on, expanding the layers of fruit character.
